Privacy Notice

How CDC Smart Systems collects, uses and protects the information you give us through this website, including contact forms and SHADOZ demo screening requests.

  1. Who we are

    This website is operated by CDC Smart Systems (“CDC”, “we”), 264 King Hussein Street, Amman, Jordan, phone +962 6 222 9070. CDC decides how and why the personal data described in this notice is processed.

    We process personal data in line with applicable data protection law, including Jordan’s Personal Data Protection Law No. 24 of 2023.

  2. What we collect

    • Contact and enquiry forms: your name, email address or phone number (or both), and, if you choose to give them, your institution, role and sector, plus the topic you choose and your message.
    • Job applications sent through the contact form: your name, email address or phone number and what you tell us about yourself.
    • Emails you send to info@cdc-it.com: your email address and what you write.
    • Demo screening requests: the names or terms you enter, the results returned, and the date and time of each request.
    • Technical and security data: your IP address, browser and device details, the pages you request, and the result of security checks such as the CAPTCHA.
    • Visit statistics: the page you open, the site that linked to it, any campaign tag in the link, your language, and the type of browser, operating system and device you use. We count each visitor once a day with a code that changes every day and cannot identify you, and we do not store your IP address with it.
    • Your consent record: the date and time you accepted this notice and the Terms of Use, and the version you accepted.

    We do not ask for sensitive personal data, such as health, religious or financial information. Please do not include it in your messages or demo requests.

  3. Demo screening requests

    The SHADOZ demo screens against fictional records only. Do not enter the personal data of a real person unless you have the right to do so.

    We store demo requests to operate and secure the service, to detect automated or abusive use, and to improve our services. We do not use demo requests to screen any person against real lists.

  4. Why we use your data

    • To answer your enquiry, arrange a walkthrough or benchmark, and follow up with you, based on your consent and our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries.
    • To consider job applications, based on your consent.
    • To run the demo and keep the website secure, based on our legitimate interest in protecting our systems and intellectual property.
    • To understand how the website is used and to improve it, with statistics that do not identify you, based on our legitimate interest in running a useful website.
    • To meet our legal obligations, and to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

    We do not sell your data, and we do not use it to make automated decisions about you.

  5. Who we share it with

    We share personal data only with service providers that host and secure this website, deliver email or run security checks such as the CAPTCHA, under written terms that limit their use of it; with our professional advisers; and with authorities when the law requires it.

    Some providers may process data outside Jordan. When they do, we apply contractual and technical safeguards as the law requires.

  6. How long we keep it

    • Enquiries and related correspondence: up to 24 months after our last contact, or longer if a contract follows.
    • Job applications: up to 12 months.
    • Demo screening requests and security logs: up to 12 months.
    • Visit statistics: up to 24 months.
    • Consent records: for as long as we hold the data they relate to.

  7. How we protect it

    We protect personal data with encryption in transit, permission-based access, logging of access and changes, and a secure development lifecycle.

  8. Your rights

    Subject to the law, you can ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, to withdraw your consent, or to object to or restrict its processing. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that took place before.

    Send your request through the contact form, choosing “Privacy request” as the topic. We may need to verify your identity, and we will reply within 30 days. You may also complain to the competent data protection authority in Jordan.

  9. Cookies and browser storage

    This website sets no cookies. It uses no advertising tools and no analytics from other companies, and it loads nothing from other companies’ servers: our fonts and images are served by us. We count visits with our own statistics, described under “What we collect”, which store nothing in your browser. If your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal, we do not count your visit.

    Your browser keeps one item in its session storage, your acceptance of these terms for the SHADOZ demo, and deletes it when you close the tab. If we ever add cookies, we will update this notice first and ask for your consent where the law requires it.

  10. Children

    This website is intended for businesses and professionals. It is not directed at anyone under 18.

    We may update this notice. The date at the top of this page shows when it last changed.
